For those who has heard of Willow Springs International Raceway, you all know what this weekend is. And for those who do not, don’t worry I’m not that mean ’cause I won’t pick on you. It’s that time of the year again where Willow Springs holds down track day events that drivers from all over come to get their hands dirty. We mean business when it comes down to the quickest, most developed track car this track can possibly have. Drivers and car enthusiasts come to this track to enjoy burning rubber and out performing themselves. It’s a free timing event and provides free lunch. FREE! LUNCH! This Saturday’s event is held by Extreme Speed Track that’s been around since 1999. These track events are available from Novice to Super Advanced drivers. Attend this event, you’ll enjoy. Have fun and be safe my fellow car enthusiasts; same to the crew of these special car enthusiasts. Ok to start off this is not your average “kyusha” or “shakotan/bosozoku” style car, but I have to say h has got the right idea with the wheel fitment and the choice of wheels. For those that don’t know the wheels are SSR MKII with a decent low offset to fit this Honda right. Dig the “super hero cape” license plate, originating from the late 70′s out of Japan you usually see older Toyotas rocking plates like that. But what probably sticks out most here and I’m sure you all have noticed from the picture is the large “pikachu tail” exhaust or lightning bolt if you will. I thought the only place you could find “boso” styled Honda’s was here in the U.S. but apparently some of the older more retro H series chassis’ out there like to rock the “boso” flava, can’t be mad at them it always looks good in the land of the rising son IMO. Japanese 80′s cars all day! Pretty rare to peep a Honda like this done right in the U.S.
The trends or styles of tuners today are always changing, most recently its been wheel fitment, everybody wants a nice set of shoes. Most of the people with newer cars can get away with semi low to high offset wheels, lets not forget about the people that have to really search and look for the right set of wheels with the LOWEST offset possible to get that flush or what most people call beyond “pokin” fitment. I love it when I see a car that the fenders have been pulled or flared and the tire is stretched beyond belief, you may feel differently but this is my short little rant on wheel fitment so I say at least put that side wall of the tire up against the inside of the fender after you roll it of course. Crazy wheel fitment is always cool but its not always what catches peoples eyes, its all about the details. And now some prime examples of ‘flush”, and “pokin” wheel fitment enjoy.
If you ever tried looking back a few months ago, wondering about when Spec D Tuning will restock popular items, well my friends the wait is over. These items were obviously in higher demand and we had limited resources. But, you shall look no further because we just made your day. This gives you the opportunity to experience a whole new side of yourselves that you would never imagine. It sure helped me before I started tinkering with cars. Our installation videso are a good way of giving back to the community in the sense that it may save you money in the long run. Oh, but of course, it is all up to you whether or not you have the time to DIY (Do-it-yourself). We here at Spec-D Tuning want you to have fun with installing and your lightings because the outcome, if you do it correctly, is Electrifying!!! Don’t worry, you really won’t get a taste of a shock, but only startled by the accomplishment you provided yourself. Off the coast of California’s 2nd largest city and where one of the world’s largest shipping ports,near the Port of Long Beach, happens to be an annual celebration for car enthusiasts. And not just any car–Toyotas! Im am beyond the point of being impressed with the city of Long Beach, California to make something happen for Toyota enthusiasts, their friends and family. Just last weekend on May 8, 2010, was Toyota’s 15th Annual ‘ToyotaFest’ celebration for Toyota owners to present and show off their money-pit. All these tuners have one thing in common, and that is showing their alter ego. They put years into their dream cars to make it presentable and sheek amongst the community and spectators.
Every year gets better and gives them more motivation to bring something new to the table for next ToyotaFest. It was my first time going to one of these events, but I heard a lot about it. A good friend of mine whom I’ve known for many years spoke of this to me. He and his pops had gotten their Toyotas registered. They owned a 1984 Celica GTS (Dad) and a 1988 Toyota Cressida (AJ) and I tagged along to experience ToyotaFest. We rolled in and were sectioned off by Make and Model. Let me tell ya, there were so many classics and also the newer model Toyota, Lexus, and Scions I didn’t know whether I was awake or still dreaming. We set up a tarp and brought out our folding chairs and posted by our vehicles. AJ and his dad represented Spec-D Tuning on the side of their 84 Celica GTS and 88 Cressida. ToyotaFest brings a lot of Toyota owners and spectators to the event giving out free stickers and posters, etc. Not to mention, you get a chance to win an award if your car is registered and have what it takes to show off your car.

All the VIP Chrysler enthusiasts give me a shout out! I know all these flashy Chrysler vehicles have something up their sleeves. Spec D Tuning has stocked up on chrome mirror covers for a solid, modern look for those who aren’t afraid of the chrome monster.
